The Department of Ankle Joint and Foot is headed  by Dr. Panagiotis Symeonidis and covers the entire spectrum of conservative and surgical treatment of diseases and injuries below knee level.

Diseases

In the department, we utilize all the possibilities of conservative and surgical treatment depending on the diagnosis and the special needs of each patient.

In the field of conservative therapy, modern orthotic, personalized insoles, therapeutic infusions, taping and targeted physiotherapy, are used.

Surgical treatment has the philosophy of applying the appropriate technique to each patient individually, for an excellent and permanent result.

We use all modern techniques, such as arthroscopy of the ankle and hind leg, tendonoscopy, corrective osteotomies, percutaneous surgery, tendon transfers and arthrodesis.

We prioritize minimal interference, excellent equipment and the quality of implantable materials.

All surgeries are performed at the Athens Medical Center (Maroussi) by Dr. Panagiotis Symeonidis, who has specialized in foot surgery in leading centers abroad (Australia, USA, Germany).
