Panagiotis G. Pantos
Orthopaedic Surgeon – Sports Physician, MD, MSc, PhD
Panagiotis G. Pantos is responsible for the Upper Limb and Sports Injuries Departments at the Orthopedic Clinic “OSTEON” and holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Athens. He is also the Director of the Orthopedic Clinic at the Athens Medical Center (Maroussi).
He has specialized in Shoulder Surgery through many years of clinical work and targeted further training in leading specialized centers in Germany and serving alongside internationally recognized surgeons.
Faithful to the principles of medical science and ethics, he specialized in Orthopedics – Traumatology, at the First University Orthopedic Clinic at the University General Hospital “ATTIKON”, while he continued his training and clinical work at the specialized clinics, Klinik Maingau vom Roten Kreuz and Asklepios Klinik Seligenstadt, in Germany.
There he gained valuable knowledge and experience on the latest developments in Shoulder Surgery, receiving recognition for his clinical work in the form of taking the position of Lietender Oberarzt of Orthopedics-Traumatology and Head of Inpatient Infections, at the Clinic of Shoulder Surgery, Klinik Maingau vom Roten Kreuz.
At the same time, he has a remarkable academic work, with a large number of scientific publications, culminating in his proclamation of a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Athens, in 2013, receiving a grade of “Excellent” for his doctoral thesis.
He is a member of the German Arthroscopic Society, AGA, as well as an extraordinary member of the Hellenic Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology.
He holds a pan-European certification from SECEC (European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow), for his specialization in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Additionally, he holds the Football Medicine Diploma (Football | Soccer Medicine Advanced Course) from Academia Clínicas Espregueira – FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence.
