Panagiotis Symeonidis is the head of the Department of Foot and Ankle at “OSTEON” Orthopedic Clinic and has a PhD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He serves his field with dedication and passion. Foot and ankle specialization is currently only available abroad. Dr Symeonidis has received clinical training in renowned centers in Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. He is one of the few Orthopaedic surgeons in Greece with a specialization in Foot and Ankle surgery.
He completed his specialization at 1
st University Orthopedic Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), in George Papanikolaou General Hospital of Thessaloniki as well as at
Broomfield,
Worthing και
Southlands hospitals in England. He obtained the title of Orthopedic Surgery specialty in October 2006, while in 2008 he received his PhD degree with “honors” from AUTh.
He was trained in foot and ankle traumatology, getting a scholarship from AO Foundation, University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus, Dresden, Germany. He was selected as Sports and Foot & Ankle fellow in Adelaide, Australia, where he specialized in Foot Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Wakefield Orthopedic Clinic.
In 2010 he won a scholarship from the
American Foot & Ankle Society and trained as a
Traveling Fellow in 5 universities in the USA.
He is a member of many scientific societies in Greece and abroad, as well as a member of Doctors of the World. He has participated as a speaker in numerous international and domestic conferences, having more than 30 international publications with more than 300 references of other authors to his academic papers.
