Orthopedist – Surgeon, MD, MSc, PhD

Efstathios Zogakis is an Orthopedic Surgeon with many years of experience in Orthopedics and Traumatology. A graduate of the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, he has completed postgraduate studies in Metabolic Bone Diseases from the same University. He works as a Consultant at  the Athens Medical Center and is a partner of the Osteon and Spine Clinic, offering personalized and high-quality medical services.

His professional career includes considerable experience in public and private hospitals, where he gained extensive experience in a wide range of orthopedic and traumatological cases. He has been trained in leading centers, such as the Hand-Upper Limb and Microsurgery Clinic, as well as the Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit at KAT Hospital. At the same time, he completed an annual pediatric orthopedics program at the Children’s Hospital “Agia Sophia”.

In 2023, he completed  a fellowship at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, one of the largest trauma centres in the UK, with a fellowship from AO Trauma, gaining valuable experience in managing complex trauma cases.

Mr. Zogakis has extensive experience in traumatological surgeries, microsurgery, hip and knee arthroplasty surgeries, as well as, in the management of pediatric orthopedic diseases. He has participated in numerous educational programs, while his research work includes publications in reputable scientific journals and presentations in international and national conferences.

At the same time, he is active in the field of medical education, participating as an instructor in first aid and pre-hospital trauma management seminars.
